A boy who is a first year student was crying extremely in the waiting room of emergency visit. He didn’t stop crying saying “Ouch! Ouch!” I was seeing another patient, so asked nurse why the boy was crying. Then the nurse replied sadly that the doctor had not come yet. So I said “Let him in the room anyway instead of leaving him there. At the same time,the doctor who take care of him came. “Press the boy down so that he can’t move,” nurses said so with fighting spirit. So I said “No, let’s treat him during talking instead of pressing him down so that he doesn’t feel pain in his heart.”　While he was treated by the doctor, I held him round the shoulders stroking his head. The boy had been smiling during histreatment. When he left my hospital, he was waving his hand with smile. I think it’s important to treat patients not only physically but also mentally. I always treat them with love. So I think “Don’t be afraid of going to hospitals.” (Translation supported by Mari Numata）

しかし、このような照射省略の安全性に関してはランダム化比較試験で証明されておらず、今のところDCISに関しても非照射乳房温存の一定の条件は確立していない。腫瘍径が小さく、核異型度が高くなく、十分に断端陰性の例を選んで行われた前向き試験でも、非照射群の局所再発が高率となり、試験中止となった。

突然襲ってきた病気を受け止めて、

乗り越えていかなければいけません。

それは、一人ではなかなか難しいこともあります。
