我慢強い子。

私のことかな？

The story I’d heard from a patient’s daughter warmed my heart. Her mother has long been confined to her bed for a long time and was not able to do almost everything without someone’s help. But recently, the patient has been getting better and she tried rehabilitation step by step so became able to sit and have meals by herself. Whenever I visit her home, she always welcome me with her smile. The other day, I was surprised because she said she went to Tokyo Disneyland with her daughter, who always takes care of her with devotion, and enjoyed to her heart content. They could spend their time comfortably at there thanks to staffs who guided them in the park all the day. When the staff saw her daughter feeling sorry because they could enjoy shows and attractions preferentially due to using wheelchair, he kindly told her like this, “You are an invisible person so please don’t worry but enjoy.” How wonderful their hospitality is! I got to like Disneyland more and more.

今日は、通勤中の電車で驚くべき光景に出会いました。

制服を着た小学生の男の子が、

大きなテキストを開いて、カリカリカリカリ。

鉛筆を走らせていたのです。

イスに座って一心不乱に勉強しているその姿は、

将来の日本の安心につながる光景でした。

「えらいぞ！頑張れよ！」

なんて声をかけたら変なあぶないおじさんになってしまうので

声をかけるのは我慢しましたが、

心の中で大きな声で彼をたたえました。

とっても嬉しかったです。

ちなみにその隣には、

一心不乱にゲームに興じる高校生もいて、

「よし、今は遊びで、学校行ったら勉強だね。」

って、声をかけようと思いましたが、

やっぱり変なおじさんになってしまうので、

我慢しました。

今日は我慢我慢の一日でしたよ。
